Probably the worst profession in the world is being a journalist. What once had a little status and seemed adventurous, now is reduced to simply rephrasing press releases as a freelancer – or more likely, your out of work.
Although the romance might be gone, there are a still a few newspapers and news websites that take it very seriously. They make sure they get the scoops or cover the news the most thoroughly and expertly. Old principles of journalism, like hearing all sides of a story, fact-checking and source checking, are of the upmost importance.
