The internet is a major blessing to many, making it easy to communicate and know more about the world around us. It has also impacted the lives of many, financial-wise. Though these people did not focus on high limit slots, they made big bucks because of the internet.  

Jeff Bezos 

Born Jeffrey Preston Jorgensen in New Mexico, USA, Jeff Bezos is the founder, chairman, CEO, and president of Amazon. Bezos graduated with a degree in electrical engineering and computer science from Princeton University. According to Forbes magazine, he is the world’s richest person, with a net worth of USD 136 billion. In 1993, after working for in telecoms and banking, he started working on a business plan for an online bookstore, which he called Amazon. He launched Amazon in 1994. In 1997, he went public. The following year, he expanded his product line and acquired small competitors. Despite several crises, he was able to keep it afloat and grow it what it is now. 

Mark Zuckerberg 

Mark Elliot Zuckerberg is the co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Facebook. He has a net worth of USD 62.3 billion. He gained fame and fortune when he launched Facebook in 2004, while still a student at Harvard University. In 2012, holding major shares of the company, Facebook went public. He netted USD 16.9 billion from this. By 2018, he is the only one under 50 who made it to Forbes’ 10 richest people list.  

Larry Ellison 

Born in New York in 1944, Lawrence Joseph Ellison is the co-founder, executive chairman, and CTO of Oracle Corporation. While working for Ampex Corporation, he worked on a database for the CIA, which he called “Oracle.” At 33, he founded Software Development Laboratories (SDL). The company changed its name to Relational Software, Inc. in 1979, and finally, three years later, to Oracle Systems Corporation. Forbes lists him as the tenth richest person in the world with a net worth of USD 59.5 billion.  

Larry Page 

Lawrence Edward Page was born in March 1973 in Michigan, USA. He has a degree in computer engineering. While doing his dissertation for his PhD in computer science at Stanford University, he met Sergey Brin, also a Stanford PhD student. After collaborating on a research paper about a web search engine, they continued their work to develop a better and faster web search engine. With their combined efforts, it led them to found Google, Inc. in 1998. He currently has a net worth of USD 53 billion. 

Sergey Brin 

Born in Moscow, Russia in 1973, Sergey Mikhaylovich Brin is the co-founder of Google, along with Larry Page. He currently serves as the President of Alphabet, Inc., the parent company of Google. He has a net worth of USD 52 billion and is the 13th richest man in the world. His father is a mathematics professor and his mother is a researcher for NASA. In 1979, his family left Russia to live in the US. Brin got his undergraduate degree in computer science and mathematics from the University of Maryland. He met Larry Page at Stanford. He and Page did not see eye to eye on many issues but were intellectually compatible and became fast friends. Together, they worked on developing a search engine we now know as Google.
